Located right on the water on the northside of Brisbane, Sandgate Beach has all facilities you need - public toilets & showers, shallow calm water, cafes & restaurants, and our shop is right across the road from the beach (Orange colour house).
Sandgate is also the only beach you can reach by public transport - only a short 30min train ride from Brisbane Central.
Want to make a day of it? We have everything you need at our shop, from sun cream, hats, sunnies to new & used equipment to accessories such as GoPro cameras, Electric skateboards......We also do lessons!
BRISBANE WINDSURFING LOCATIONS:
Sandgate, North Brisbane (between 7th & 8th Avenue on Flinders Parade) - good for high tide, Bump & jump conditions. Windsurf shop over the road. Rental, repairs, rescue/first aid service available. Toilet block, BBQ, cafe, fish & chips over the road. Sandy Bottom, no rocks. Works well in SE, E, NE & N wind directions. Low tide has a long walk, so best go 2-3 hours before high tide. Reachable by public transport.
Clontarf Bells Beach, Redcliffe - good for westerlies. Bump & jump conditions. Be careful of rocks on the northern half of the beach. Wear booties!
Scotts Point & Suttons Beach, Redcliffe - good for SE, E, NE and N. Bump & jump conditions. Deepwater. Beware of reefs.
Queens Beach, Scarborough - good for SE, E, NE and N. Bump & jump conditions. Deep water. Good swells.
Rose Bay, Manly - good for SE, E, NE and N. Bump & jump/flat water speed runs at times. Good sail to Wellington Point if right wind direction. Newbies to the area wear booties!
RQ Beach, Davenport Esplanade, Manly - good for SE, E, NE and N. Bump & jump/flat water speed runs at times. Good sail to Wellington Point if right wind direction. Newbies to the area wear booties!
Wellington Point - good for nearly ALL wind directions. Bump & jump/flat water speed runs at times. Need booties!!!!! Beware of shallow water! Lots of rocks and sinking muddy but one of the most popular spots in Brisbane for wind & kitesurfers.

Where to meet?
During the week come directly to our shop at 170 Flinders Parade, Sandgate. It is the bright orange colour house on the beach. If no one is at the shop, wait by our van over the road. On the weekends, meet directly at the beach over the road to our shop. You will see our setup there with our gazebo and flags.
Our activities are totally weather dependent, and often we have to cancel activities on the spot or at the very last minute. Please be prepared for this to happen and not be disappointed. It is for your own safety and enjoyment. We will try our best to notify you at least an hour before your booking, and a full refund or rescheduling will be offered. There is no need to call to check. If you have not heard from us, that means the session is 'ON AS SCHEDULED'.
Fitness, Health and ability to swim
All participants must also be able to swim competently unaided and of good reasonable health. For paddling, participants need to be under 100kg, Please bear in mind our activities are of high risks. Any participants under the influence of alcohol and drugs will be asked to leave immediately. No refund will be offered for anyone turning up to be deemed unfit to participate. If you are not sure if you can fit into our vests/harnesses, please make a prior appointment for fitting before making payment. Our largest vests are XXXL and harnesses go up to 40".
